Fruitpark Hotel & Spa

The hotel is brand new and well designed. Staff is young and very friendly. We were mainly puzzled by some of the choices made by management; the hotel is spot in the middle of nowhere, yet the bar closes at 22:00 (also on weekends). There are a lot of amenities aimed at kids (fruit park, midget golf, playfully designed beds), yet there has to be silence in the pool area. They sell half board, excluding drinks, yet the attention for empty glasses is very low (at some point we were served starters before taking our drinks orders). There is definitely room for improvement and focus.

Very nice staff! I only stayed there for 1 night and arrived late (past 10:00pm). We didn’t have dinner, but the man at reception cooked fries for us, even if the kitchen was normally closed at that time, so we don’t go to bed with an empty stomach (there’s nothing around to get food). So BIG thanks for the customer service! The rest of the team was very friendly too.

This hotel is really great. It was our home away from home for five days and we could not have chosen a better place. Room was spacious and impeccable, the bed was big and comfortable, the shower is strong and relaxing, the restaurant of very good quality (although as usual in The Netherlands mostly meat on the menu, and little fish), and the staff was fast and friendly, and extremely helpful. WiFi is excellent, we loved the Nespresso machine with free coffees every day. We had a room with a roof terrace, which was absolutely worth the extra cost as we came “home” tired some days and just had room service serve a meal on our private terrace. Talking about chilling! Whenever we are in this region, we will be back here for sure. The room aircon functions well but on a really hot day it does not really manage to get the temperature down, the private roof terrace has no outdoor lights which would have been nice, the stairs to the first floor are steep which you would not expect in a 21st century construction, and the elevator is slow.

My best way to describe it, would be as a hybrid between a very high standard, posh establishment by standards and an extremely tranquil ambiance - almost homely feeling. At these hard times with corona restrictions they adapted very well without losing their high standards of accompanying guests. Highly recommended for people that like the luxury of a fine hotel with the most natural rural settings for their resting comfort. Enjoy!
